Good afternoon all. Watching movies and relaxing. We’re ordering pizza tonight, no one wants to go to the store. It’s chilly and overcast outside, a good day for snuggling with the pups.

My sister just called and cancelled supper. I figured she was going to cancel but not this late in the day. She has some major health issues going on...mental and physical both. With all this Covid stuff going on she can’t get into any specialists and she needs one. She needs more help then I’m capable of giving her. I have to come up with something for supper now. I have lots of buns and cranberry cake

I just called the Princess to come and see them. She thinks they are beautiful and asked if I am working on hers. I know my limitations.

You can do it...just think how happy your Princess would be...

Thank you! Yes, we broke down a couple of years ago and bought one...I'm still having a hard time to not have a real tree...we used to go up to the mountains and cut our...then it was tree lots and now fake...but at least it's a beautiful faker...

A few years back we had a guy come and look at the trees in our grove. We have a ton of the black walnut but they weren’t big enough at the time to harvest. I have a black walnut desk my husband made years ago. It needs a little TLC. It is heavy!

I bet it's amazing! We have an older end table and a coffee table he made 40 years ago...after raising 3 munchkins they need some tlc also!

Some woods are really too hard to work and dull everything, others have a puncheon of pieces flying out while you're working with them. Then there are those who behave nicely throughout the process. Not too hard, Not too soft, Not chunky.

Walnut is definitely one of the best to work with! The end product is always so worth the time and effort!

I hope she can get the help she needs...it's so hard to watch someone you love as they are struggling and to not be able to help them!
