The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Thanks:hugs
The main bathroom is done except some caulking in the shower. I think we are also going to put a shower door in instead of the curtain. The threshold is so low the curtain won’t stay in and I don’t need a flood. We need to make a Menards run for several things.
The downstairs bathroom needs the shower stall put in. Hubby wants to get a different drain for that instead of using what came with the stall. We have trim to do also. We are using old grainery boards for that.
I think we are sanding the new entryway today. It should all be done in another month.
I don’t know if you saw pictures so here they are again.:DBefore and after....

Good morning DMC...I hope you are feeling better today! :hugs

I love it...you guys have done a fantastic job...absolutely beautiful...I fully appreciate all of the hard work and hours it took to get to this point...just lovely! I would also put in a shower door...floods are definitely not good!

Yes! :D It is much nicer then it was. I will post some before and after pictures.
I think we are going to work on the mudroom a little this weekend. I wanted to shiplap the whole thing but cost of wood is up over 100% so hubby said no.
We were looking at Oak plywood at our favorite lumber store yesterday...a 4'x8'x3/4" was $138...totally ridiculous price, it's a better quality than what we can get from Lowe's or Home Depot, but I think for the application we are needing it for now we will go for the cheaper priced plywood! My husband said he read that the prices will be going down in the next couple of months, problem is we need to buy some now!

Great, looking forward to seeing your pictures!

We found out how much wood had increased in price when we got an estimate for a backyard fence...for just our little yard it was going to be $7800. Crazy! Needless to say, that's a project for a later day and the chain link is fine for now.
Good morning Debby! Hope your day is going well! :)

That's a crazy amount of money! I will be glad when lumber prices drop, we have a lot of projects to get done!

I have some possibly great news. It seems my little group of Hooligans, may increase by four tomorrow. I'm very excited to be the recipient of new hens. If all goes well with the adoption, then the four, will have a happy life with me, on my farm. (Wish me good cluck)!:old:highfive:
Deal fell out! I didn't get them Saddened me very much.

My parents got a puppy. I met her yesterday and she's adorable. She's only 9 weeks old and she's a Labradoodle. She's a lovely, cuddly puppy. Our dog, when she was a puppy, was all action and energy. She's a little cuddlier now that she's getting older.

Unfortunately my twin egg has died, but that will make hatch day a bit less stressful. My little OEGB pullet's eggs are so tiny (only 20g which is around 0.7 ounces) that I suspect they will be hatching early.

Deal fell out! I didn't get them Saddened me very much.

I'm sorry Alex. :hugs
