The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

My parents got a puppy. I met her yesterday and she's adorable. She's only 9 weeks old and she's a Labradoodle. She's a lovely, cuddly puppy. Our dog, when she was a puppy, was all action and energy. She's a little cuddlier now that she's getting older.

Unfortunately my twin egg has died, but that will make hatch day a bit less stressful. My little OEGB pullet's eggs are so tiny (only 20g which is around 0.7 ounces) that I suspect they will be hatching early.

I'm sorry Alex. :hugs
Yay on the Puppy, sad on the twin egg loss. (I love new puppy breath):thumbsup

Hi Jae, how old is your dog now? Sorry about the twin egg, but as you said, that should make hatch day easier.

She's 8 and a half now, but still bursting with energy, unless you mention the word "work". 🤣 Cuddles tend to wind her up but she will sit and enjoy a good scratch and pat now. She's a good girl but I would like a calmer dog next time around.

@JaeG .Just mention "Work" around here, and everyone runs for the hills!:barnie

What do you peeps think of Barred Plymouth rocks? I'm seriously thinking of extending my girls with that breed?
Barred Rocks are some of my favorites. They always seem to be the most friendly of the bunch :love

Barred Rocks are very popular and I believe you can sex them fairly early by coloring. The males have wider white areas between the black, and females have narrow white areas between the black and a black wash over their yellow legs.
