The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

He's quite the holdout! Once I start my wood stove in October it pretty much stays running until at least mid March.

I'm afraid you are in for some even colder weather this week.
I wish. He usually saves it for the really cold days. The only room that is ever warm in our house is the living room. We have the gas fireplace and the storage heater in there, that’s where the heat for the rest of the house comes from. We have electric heat but rarely use it as it’s so expensive.
I guess it’s time for some cold. We’ve had a relatively mild winter.

I think if I were you DMC, I'd be camping out in the living room!

We're at 5* now and the only thing giving me any consolation is knowing you're even colder

I do, all winter. Today it’s hot in here. I might brave the frozen tundra soon just to cool off :lol:I told hubby he can quit adding wood anytime.

My weird baby is still alive. It seems OK. Lucky (the turkey) needs a little roost as he keeps jumping on top of the waterer.

I got my first turquoise Araucana egg today. The little girls have been squatting for weeks now.

The English Araucana eggs arent as blue as the Rumpless Araucana eggs but they sure brighten up the egg carton.

I also have a broody bantam. She's a little sweetie so I've given her 3 eggs and we'll see what happens. Most of our old girls are molting already! I hope that doesn't mean winter is coming early.

I'm glad it's still alive!
For some reason I can't see the egg picture, I think something is going on from the new software update. It sounds pretty.
Good luck with the broody, hopefully all 3 eggs will hatch for you!
