Working Remotely is hard to do in some ways but easy in others.

I do miss the people but fixing a broken computer is hard to do remotely.

I either have to pick it up from Campus or have our purchasing system mail parts to them.

Our Unit members are all over the Country and World! One of your Faculty was stuck in South Africa Until December.

I'm sure you all will have a lot of catching up to do when you can all get together again.

I cannot imagine the work load when working remotely vs. in-person.

My fingers are crossed for the fall 🤞

Good afternoon! I am doing well. I spent the morning cleaning up so I'm good until next weekend :D the boys are behaving so it's been pretty quiet here, too.

Any relief from the snow over there?

I need to do some of that cleaning biz myself

Today's pretty nice outside so some of that big snowfall is starting to melt, yay!

A guy I worked with brought in some home made fruit cake and he said try this . His wife made it, I don't know how but it was off the charts good . Maybe some one of you folks know . He said something to this effect at some point there was fermentation involved .
Perhaps a fair bit of rum? That is what my in-laws did with the "commercial" fruitcake they received every year. We have a ton of tins.

She’s been in the hospital since Friday afternoon. She fell down the stairs and still hasn’t woken up yet. She has a skull fracture, a bunch of broken bones in her face, and a broken wrist. We are hoping she will wake up soon and be fine but of course we don’t know that she will and the longer she goes... and even if she does wake up, there’s no guarantee she will be normal again or fully functioning.
Oh no!!! I'm so sorry, it must be horrible for you :hugs I hope she recovers well and soon.

A couple of months ago I saw the obituary for a 70 Y/O guy that lives about a mile from me, I knew him only from the Farmer's Market. It said he had an accident at home. I'm thinking chainsaw or something dangerous. I talked to my ground beef Farmer's Market friends last month. Turns out he fell down the stairs. I asked "outside, slipped on ice?". Nope, in the house just like your mom. Died instantly so at least he didn't suffer, can't say the same for his family.

I'm sure you all will have a lot of catching up to do when you can all get together again.
Probably nothing will get done for at least a week at all the offices world wide. They'll likely send everyone back home to accomplish something work related. ;)

Kelsey, so sorry to hear about your mom. :hugs
Thank you!
:frow You got a puppy!? He sounds adorable.

I'm so sorry about your Mum. :hugs
I think he is but I’m biased LOL

And thank you!!

Thank you! We hope so too! I think it’s terrible not knowing too.

And oh wow that’s scary! The stairs over at this place are horrible, they’re so narrow/old and steep as well as being on concrete and very dark so I’ve been super nervous ever since because if anyone fell down these, they’d probably be dead. I missed the last step a couple weeks ago and landed on my knee and wrist, was fine though, just a bit sore, but it happens. SIL sprained her ankle on them. So definitely scary.

Any change in your mom's condition Kelsey?
