The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good morning everyone. Yesterday afternoon I was making dinner and heard a loud noise and then water gushing. I ran down the hall and found the water line from the wall to the toilet had come off the toilet and there was already an inch of water on the floor. The valve at the wall wouldn’t turn it off!! I stood there with water shooting out of the line into the tub and hollered for help for forever. Screamed for help really. Finally Aiden came in from outside and held it while I went out to turn off the main. There was water up and down the hall and out into the dining area by the time all was said and done. So, here’s to today being a better day!

Yes it was used in gold precipitation years ago . They didn't know the dangers involved in run off and water contamination . I know that hindsight is seldom of any use but I don't know all the circumstances but I believe that when they use eminent domain to build a highway they still have have to pay fair market value for the land . I don't know who get paid the land owner or the mineral rights owner . It's a dirty business but those of us that search for the tiny particles of gold have a saying that holds true .The best to look for gold is where Gold has already been found . I think that's why some land owners held back the mineral rights . When I bought my swamp land I told the folks that were selling no mineral rights no buy . We never know what the future will bring . If this helps you in any way I would be so happy for you . Good luck ! I bought water for 20 tears .
Maybe there was gold here at one time...interesting! It could have been gravel too. We will get paid for the land they are taking. We signed papers a couple weeks ago. Maybe whoever owns the mineral rights will too. It wasn’t anyone local. We have thousands of dollars of tile in this field which hubby is worried about them damaging so that was figured in. There are several people that have not signed papers yet as they are holding out for more money. It’s 25 miles of road they are doing. If they don’t sign, the land gets condemned and they take it anyway.
