It is shaping up to be bad though. Drought plus heat equals high fire danger. We will likely have days with power shut offs again during windy days.

We are having what's called a 'green drought' here where we get the odd shower, just enough to keep things green (but not really growing), but meanwhile the soil moisture level is at least 50% below what it normally is for this time of year. It's been a very dry autumn so far and it was a dry summer too.
