A little update on the necropsy results: The pathologist said she died from Lymphoma. Her intestines were the worst with tumors in various places. He said two likely causes of this are Avian Leukosis and Mareks. He is going to send a tissue sample to Mississippi State to run a PCR test. This test looks for a genome sequence specific to Mareks. The hope is that we can rule out Mareks to better pinpoint what I might be dealing with. Those results should be back sometime next week. It is quite an unfortunate situation. However, as of right now, everyone else is doing very well!

Do not panic if it is mareks. A small percentage of chickens will die from mareks cancer even if immunized.

If there was a virulent strain, chickens at your place would die from the initial infection and not the cancer.
