Good morning, Everyone. Into a spell of 90+ days. With the NJ humidity that's no fun.

If you have a breeze maybe some mist will help cool you off. Just a spray bottle and some cool water can help. Drink ice water and take a siesta until the hot part of the day is over. Then you can stay up late partying.

I went into the camper and got a bowl and took ice from the cooler and stuck my feet in one at a time. I thought about shoving them both into the cooler but hubby would not have been amused. It was still 88 at 9:15 but felt much cooler so we did have a bonfire. I think I got heat stroke or sun poisoning about 8 years ago sitting at a baseball game. I can’t handle the heat anymore.

Good morning Sour! Sounds like we all have a heat wave. I’m glad we don’t have humidity with it.

I can understand that and at 100 degrees that’s hot. A damp dishtowel with some ice cubes in it around your nec would help as well. Here we can buy fabric bands with those gel things that absorb water. Soak in ice water and wrap around your neck, voila

I'm not at the lake under an awning, but I think that's excellent advice...I might have to try it myself.

But first, lawn mowing is in order. I'll be ready for a siesta in the a/c after that.

I imagine so! All I’ve done is water the grass and changed the water in a pool for the ducks and I’m ready for a nap.
