Boy, am I happy the 4th is over our neighbor started their fireworks after 9pm and some of them were huge!

We were able to see some fireworks from our front yard last night but they were pretty much over by 9:30.

We were able to see some fireworks from our front yard last night but they were pretty much over by 9:30.

Oh, my gosh yes it was ! Todd was either beside a chair or laying on top of my feet. I can't take loud noises as much now and some of his were huge. I don't even bother going outside anymore to watch.

I like fireworks myself, they bring back fun memories of being a kid and visiting the stands to pick out our haul of noisy things. When my boys were little I'd take them to the stands every day for a week prior to the 4th and then on the night of the 4th, they'd put on their own show.

I get they aren't for everyone, but it just seems like part of the 4th to me. And they're so pretty!

Don't get me wrong, I love a good fireworks show and we would go watch them most years with th the kids. We used to have sparklers and do little stuff, but it was always better to watch from our house.

For me it seems way different than when I was a kid.
