The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Yes , not too far from where I am at the moment but I have traveled all over the country and Canada , working and vacationing . Rode a Harley Davidson across the country when I was young .
Wow, riding across country must have been really fun! I love to see new places.

The 12 year old has had it with the 9 year old and built himself a fort. He’s got a fan in there, his phone and noise canceling headphones are plugged into a double charger and there are snacks and ice water. I asked him to build me one next.

Brothers are good for driving anyone nuts!

I like the fort!

I had no trouble hatching at 7,000 ft although vents had to stay wide open all the time for max oxygen and water needs to be added quite often to the reservoir. Lots of sponges used at lock down, humidity was a tough one. :D Are you up at altitude?
No, we are at sea level here. I have helped members hatching at high altitudes though.

The biggest problem is hatching eggs laid at sea level at high altitudes. Hatching eggs laid at a high altitude at the same altitude is not a problem.

Yes, they say that too with raising chicks going from lower altitudes to higher can be difficult on them. My hatches were from my own quail so altitude never changed, but I would imagine it would be an issue.

Somewhere in the Andes, at about 10,000 feet, there is an Hatchery that incubates in a pressure chamber!

That’s awesome. I miss the days of fort building with my cousins. Where does time go 😂
