The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good morning all! I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend. I thought when the remodel was done that I would be able to catch up and stay caught up...what was I thinking...lol! Anyway, I'm trying! 💗
Hi Rene
DH picked out our last set of dishes. He's anti-Corelle for some reason (that's what I like) so it was his turn to choose.
I like the Corelle too and have them but when you drop one they shatter into a zillion pieces.
It's a funny topic. We have a set of fine china that we haven't used in probably more than 20 years. We have every day dishes that are mostly along the lines of Japanese style and today we mostly use paper plates. After all, who wants to wash them? :gig
I use mine when I run out of Corelle

I left some Milkweed in the garden this year. I hope I get to see these turn into Monarchs.

I got my new vacuum head yesterday. It was not the problem. I called Shark again and they have you do a video thing so they can see what’s going on. He couldn’t figure it out. I get a new vacuum as it has a 7 year warranty and I have to send the new head back. I have to pay shipping for the new one but it’s cheaper then the new head was so I’ll be getting money back. They sent a prepaid tag via email. I love it when a company stands behind it’s product!
Nice! a 7 year warranty is very good.

It’s monsoon season so we get dust, or rain, or both. Sometimes the rain is just enough to make little dots in the dust, sometimes they’re gulley washers. Apparently last night we got a good bit of rain though, even the patio still has damp spots. My rain gauge says about 1/3 inch so not too bad.
We do not get Monsoon Storms here...but sometimes we get rain with little fish in it!

It is very weird to have fish rain down on you!

The one in Oroville must picked up the rain from the lake. The time I saw it in woodland, there was an ocean smell so they must have come up the Sacramento river delta from the ocean.

This is me. We have nice china that's packed away in a closet. We have everyday dishes that are stoneware and weigh a ton. And lately we use paper plates 80% of the time because why not ☺️
