If it is covid, then hopefully it will be better soon since you had have been vaccinated.Hope you'll share the photos!
I actually ended up sicker, again last night!
I cannot believe it, but I do think it may be covid again. I tossed my coffee the last two days because it didn't taste right.
I have the cough, the headache, as well as, thrush mouth and a sore throat. I've read that this is a symptom. I wish I had some Gentian Violet; but who keeps that around anymore? It is an ingredient in Blue Coat, and I have some that I used on a hen with gleet...but her butt to my mouth..uhh uhh!
I've been wearing my
mask, but I've noticed, since the vaccine came out, that about half the population is not.
I hope things go OK, when you are back on campus!
I hope all goes well for you & your's!
Good luck to you! I hope you get your surgery, and that your 12 yo breaths easy!
I'm so sorry! I wish you the best with school. Happy Saturday to you!
I hope you all have a great weekend!
I'm going to lay here and be sick.. and feel guilty...there are at least a dozen hens staring at me through the French doors.![]()
Honestly, it was inevitable. Would've been good if plans had been in place for the eventuality though, but nope - we make it up as we go along.I'm sorry that Delta has invaded NZ!
Stay safe!Hello everyone!
Delta has reached the shores of the 'hermit kingdom' so we are in lockdown. Our vaccination rate is abysmally low (only 21% are fully vaccinated) but that's due to the government dragging its feet and being thoroughly disorganised. Our poor hospitals are already stretched to the limit due to various winter ills, including an RSV virus that is hitting many young children hard, plus being horribly underfunded for many, many years. So we cannot afford a big outbreak, but the number of cases are creeping up and it is in schools, universities, churches - all the places it can gain a real foot hold. At this point in time it is in two cities, but we know many Aucklanders escaped the city, travelling to other centres before lockdown began, so they may very well have taken it with them.
My DH is still being made to work by his boss even though we can't quite work out how it would be considered an 'essential business' and despite contacting various government agencies in an attempt to get a straight answer out of someone, we are still in the dark.
But so far we are all ok. I'm waiting for a sheep to pop but, although they are fat as puddings and their udders are growing, none look to be very close to giving us a lamb quite yet. We have about 3 weeks until our calves start to be born, so DH has started spraying the carrot weed (as that can taint the taste of milk and I'm still hoping to milk one of our girls).
My bantam hen with a nest in the tree is due to start hatching chicks today. She didn't come down for breakfast so something must be happening. Her sister is sitting in another tree on eggs (and I forgot to write down when she started sitting)! I put a few eggs in the incubator too as our two old OEGB hens laid us one precious egg each, so I wanted to incubate them, so I added a few more bantam eggs. But again, I didn't write down when I set them.![]()
