Great grandson, Alex, visited yesterday. Here are some pictures of him meeting chickens and playing with Mom and Dad. He has his dad's hair.

AWEEEEEE he is so cute, with an adorable smile! Love the curls with chickens, a dome, a slide... Must be a blast at your house! The trees are beautiful, too.... looks so "woodsy"

Hi Mad, how is school going for the kiddos?

Great! They actually like going to school.

My youngest was really hesitant at first; he would wait until the last minute before going inside the main gates, and I would wait by the gate to watch him go to class. But now, he's telling me when it's time to go in the gate, walks ahead of me, and doesnt even notice me by the gate anymore. I cried a little the first couple times
It's homework that we're having a rough time with.

Yesterday evening I found out what's been eating my orange Cosmos (not the pink ones, just the orange) and the Dianthus...there were 2 deer in my backyard! Apparently they don't enjoy the orange Cosmos, Petunias, Zinnias, Marigolds or Batchelor's Buttons. Guess those are the flowers I'll plant next year and let the deer eat someone else's flowers.

Glad they're enjoying school. That's a big step for kids and parents both, a few tears are understandable.
