We have a lot of squirrels here on the UC Davis Campus!

A lady across the street feeds the squirrels. Every once in a while I'll find a peanut shell or piece of cracker in my yard (they must drop them while running on the utility wires).

Woodland does not have Squirrels but Davis has a lot of them! There was supposed to be a program to sterilize them to get rid of them.

A squirrel got into a sub station one time and blew out a transformer!

Do the grandkids visit often?

We have so many grandchildren, that we usually have at least a few visits every month. No one is within a 2 hour drive now. We enjoy the visits when we get them.
I do think that pond is going to be too deep for little ones though. We have water snakes anyway. I'm going to have a sign that says "NO WADING"

A wading pond sounds like loads of fun for the grandkids Janie! Hope you'll share a picture of it when it's done

I do think that pond is going to be too deep for little ones though. We have water snakes anyway. I'm going to have a sign that says "NO WADING"

Guess you can never see too many squirrel pictures Janie! So you have gray ones? We had reddish colored ones in Kansas. Once in Canada I saw a black one, that was fun.

We have these and also the little ground squirrels. They are fast, and hard to get a picture of, also, luckily, hard for a cat to catch.

Down south where the company house is, there are tons of ground squirrels. The golf course cats catch them fine unfortunately...sometimes the cats let them loose in the buildings and good luck to the human that has to catch one. Those are fast little rodents!
