The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good MOOrning everyone 💜 my car is in the shop.
Can you guess which one? :lau View attachment 2851157
Making a weird squeaking sound. Pretty pricey just for them to do diagnostics but I trust the place, and I like the people.

I agree. I am not a fan of the cold but I am a huge fan of soup in the cold; I'm not a fan of cooking but I love making soup ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
What kind of soup you like the most?

That's a good question, I'm curious too!

I like those smells in a candle, in the fall :p but I wouldnt know if the scent is accurate since I dont live near those things.
The real smell doesn’t smell anything like candles. I love the smell of the fall candles though :D

I figured the orange was the more popular and sort of what people think of for fall/Halloween. But the price difference, crazy!
I agree. It is that way Here too. I love the white pumpkins. They really glow under a black light too.
I’m waiting for it to cool off. It feels like August around here. It’s humid this morning. We’re maybe going to get rain today. The trees are starting to change colors☺️
It got to 93 here again. I guess the cooler weather was just a teaser. And no rain. We've been promised rain for 3 days now.

It is not ridged enough to be a walnut comb. It looks more like a strawberry comb or a cushion comb.

It could still be the type of come you see from a straight comb and pea comb though.

It would help to have someone hold her to get a closeup picture of the comb.
🤣not even going to try and pick her up, lol. Mama hen would make me into shredded meat. She is the sweetest hen, even when sitting, but once they hatch, even the rooster runs from her.

@janiedoe does this article about comb types help?

Honestly, it just makes me want more chickens, so that I can have more varied combs.

Mad, I hope your car gets better soon. I'm attached to my old girl too. I use her for errands, and only use the SUV occasionally. It helps that both are paid for, makes it easier to form attachments.

I got 3 Inches this evening and it was head northeast so maybe it'll get to you.

I hope you are right. It seams to rain all around us.
Yes. We were an inch over average for the year but way behind for the last couple of months. So we were getting pretty dry.
Sounds like here. We built our ark this spring, but the rain stopped for the summer, so it hasn't had it's maiden voyage.

The squeak is caused by my front break pads worn to nothing.
Ah, that is usually described as a "chirp" and they put something in the pads so they do that when they get low.

Might cost the leg and arm, just to replace the breaks :( $500
JUST pads or pads and rotors? If the former, take it somewhere else!

The other 7 things they found is due to old age. Bought my car brand new in 2011, so about 10.5 years.
How many miles? DW's Prius is 15 years old, just shy of 250K miles. No real problems. But of course she's been driving the Leaf for a year 5 of her 6 work days.

I love the smell of the fall candles though :D
ACK! Migraine HELL! I wish Yankee Candle would fall into an abyss.

Still waiting on Clara to have her lamb/s. She waggled her tail today and her back end all shook like jelly so all her ligaments etc must be relaxed and ready to let baby/ies through. It's been 6 weeks since her udder started to grow so I'm getting impatient.

Here are the other three cuties though:

Hope everyone has a great Friday.
