The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Hope you escaped any damage and just got some rain Janie!
We had no real damage, but just a nice soak, not too much rain. We have a few tree limbs to clean up.
Good morning, everyone.

Good morning, Sue.
Did anyone else ever get a song stuck in your head ?
Constantly. I sometimes have two songs mixed together, in my head. I used to make a song out of, and sing everything I said, to my older grandchildren. They thought it was hilarious. 🤪I'm pretty sure I embarrassed them, but better me, than their parents. 😜 I need to start on the younger crowd soon..it's the closest I've ever been to a Rockstar.
Isn't anyone going to ask what song it was ?
I'm afraid.
Grandma got run over by a reindeer . :gig:love:ya
I knew not to ask...darn it Debby, I hope it's stuck on a loop in your head, with the rest of us. 🤣
For some odd reason, the song "Oh Happy Day" popped into my head when I read this post but I knew that couldn't be it.
Good morning/afternoon.

Sometimes it helps to "end" the song. You might need to do that many times though. Hold the last note in your head for a bit.

I have read that you will often hear music in your head when your brain is trying to remember something.

This is the song I've had stuck in my head the past couple of days:

It doesn't help that the commercial has been playing over and over throughout the day.

Well, that explains it, I can't remember anything anymore.

Thanks so much. 😄

Good morning/afternoon everyone :)
The real smell doesn’t smell anything like candles. I love the smell of the fall candles though :D
I like the scent to go with the season. Makes me feel more festive
🤣not even going to try and pick her up, lol. Mama hen would make me into shredded meat. She is the sweetest hen, even when sitting, but once they hatch, even the rooster runs from her.

Honestly, it just makes me want more chickens, so that I can have more varied combs.

Mad, I hope your car gets better soon. I'm attached to my old girl too. I use her for errands, and only use the SUV occasionally. It helps that both are paid for, makes it easier to form attachments.
I agree. I had no attachment when I paid her (the car) off, 3 years after I purchased. All the memories though make her irreplaceable.
Ah, that is usually described as a "chirp" and they put something in the pads so they do that when they get low.

JUST pads or pads and rotors? If the former, take it somewhere else!

How many miles? DW's Prius is 15 years old, just shy of 250K miles. No real problems. But of course she's been driving the Leaf for a year 5 of her 6 work days.

ACK! Migraine HELL! I wish Yankee Candle would fall into an abyss.
It was both the break pads and the rotors and I opted for the part to come from Nissan, which was more expensive.
The other issues that need to be fixed: back breaks need to be cleaned, timing cover seeping, transmission pan seeping, front right axle seeping, and the front struts and rear shocks are original.
They said it wasnt necessary to fix at this point but more so to be aware of.
135K miles.

I'm so glad I noticed that "chirp" in time. One of my fears is something happening on the road, while I'm with the kiddos. I am not car savvy and I wouldnt know what means what.
