You've had a busy day! Good for you on getting the shingles shot. I got mine 2 years ago so that's out of the way.

DH will be here in about 2 hours. I got the house tidied up and now I'm looking at dinner options that don't require a trip to the store.

How long will he stay this time ? Hopefully it's until after Christmas

It has been a rough Fall Quarter here. Going back to in person teaching while still having some remote classes is rough!

Our Department conference rooms are not setup for that.

Just got back home from little short christmas vacay. Just went down to indiana it was only an hour away from my house but went and saw christmas lights and went on a carriage ride and more. Felt nice to sleep in a hotel again oddly enough

Today's baking marathon is done. My mom only wants home baked goodies for Christmas so she'll be getting 2 loaves of pumpkin walnut bread, 1 loaf of lemon poppy seed bread and 1 loaf of cream cheese banana pecan bread. Tomorrow I'm going to try to make up a batch of cookies to throw in her package just to round it out.

Sheesh, a gift certificate or bottle of perfume would be a lot easier!

There is nothing that can beat a gift made with love

In around the 1870's shops started dressing the windows with commercial gifs in UK . Imo that slightly spoiled Christmas because from there it became less personal.
