Was Rachel’s thread closed? I can’t find it. I used to like to go back through it and read it, just as a reminder and to see who was in the Waiting Room needing or offering support.

Debbie, your Hummingbird cake was awesome!! We didn’t even have plates or forks in the car, but we sure managed to polish it off on the way home. And I don’t even like sweets!

Blooie, last night I was talking to DH on the phone and told him you mentioned Hummingbird Cake. He kind of whined and said "I like Hummingbird Cake too, it's one of my favorites".

Guess who will be making a Hummingbird Cake for the next time he comes home.:lol:

As for Rachel's thread, looks like the last time someone posted on there was June 2021: page-2095

That porch has become critical! The appraiser won’t come out until it’s finished, since it was specifically funded in our construction loan, and we can’t roll over our construction loan to a conventional loan until it’s done. In the meantime,nibterest rates are going to start creeping higher, and we’d like to get the best rate possible. Hasn’t been easy to do outdoor work with winter here but the slab has been poured for weeks. Wade will be installing the pillars, rails, and roof this week. :thumbsup

We are going to do something different to our entry maybe this summer sometime. We had lots of hail damage from a storm this past August. All of our buildings have to have the roofing replaced and all the North and West siding/tin on all the buildings. When we do the house I think we are going to put on a steel roof and hoping they can extend it to a covered patio. We don’t have tree cover at all so my decks are unusable unless it’s nice out. It get’s pretty hot. We are on our contractors list but there was a lot of people with damage.
