Good morning everyone :frow
Good morning Debby 😊
Hi Debby! What’s going on in your world?
Good morning DMC 😊
Good morning, DMC.
Good morning, Debby.
DMC, I feel for your sister. I
have a daughter, who has suffered from depression most of her years. It takes a lot out of her, and her family. I hope your sister finds happiness.
Good morning Janie 😊

Good morning Janie, thank you! She was really close to our sister that passed away in November. That did not help the situation. I doubt she will ever find happiness. No amount of therapy or medication has helped her.

Good morning folks :frow

Good morning, Sue & Bob!

I hope that you won't be overwhelmed. I'm sure she will rely on you, a great deal now. Her children probably need counseling. It is so hard to live with a chronically depressed individual. The children often get overlooked when dealing with the situation, but they suffer long term.
In my daughter's case, things improved a great deal after she had a hysterectomy. She stills has to have hormone therapy, but she is much, much better.
My grandchildren (adults now) have both suffered from anxiety and depression, but they have positive personalities, and seem to be doing well. I hope your nephews will not suffer from long term depression and anxiety.

Good morning, everyone!!

I’m so excited for today!! Tam’s coming over to see what we’ve done in the house. She hasn’t been here since Christmas Eve. Even then she and Evan just carried in their Christmas gifts for our family Christmas Eve dinner and gift exchange and left immediately after depositing their bundles on the island. Evan was so sick for weeks with some kind of respiratory thing - he was tested for Covid, RSV, and something else that I can’t recall and all were negative but he was in pretty bad shape. So they missed Christmas and the birthdays. Odd thing is whatever he had, Tam never caught.

Then two of her residents who’d gone home to spend the holidays with family ended up with Covid. They were moved over to the Covid unit, where they are so ridiculously short-staffed right now. When they moved them, they also moved Tam to help take care of them. That left her regular residents with no CNA, and her exposed to Covid. All she did was go to work and go home, and to the hospital 2x a week to get tested. So she stayed clear of Ken and me. We’d go over to do laundry at night when she was at work. Despite her living just 6 miles away, we haven’t seen her at all. I can’t wait until she sees the ramp and the porch, and the rooms we’ve painted! Since the last time she was here we also got all of the blinds up, some rooms now have curtains, more furniture has been brought in and placed…..she’s gonna flip!!!

Enjoy the sunrise from my new porch. I‘m so looking forward to warm weather and getting porch furniture placed so I can sit out there with my morning tea and enjoy these early morning vistas.
