I have some news to share with you all...

DH has accepted a golf course superintendent job in Florida so we're moving. He has to be there in a couple of weeks while I'll be here in Casper getting this house packed up and sold. The owners of the golf course are providing temporary housing for us but it's going to take a few months to build...they're putting up a new modular house for us until we find a new home of our own. So I hope to be packed and moving in the next 3-6 months or whenever they have the mod house ready.

This is super exciting for us, DH gets his dream job and I (we) get to return to Florida! We'll be in the panhandle in an area between Pensacola and Panama City. That's the part of FL called the Emerald Coast (also known as the Redneck Riviera ). DH went to flight school in Pensacola so he's familiar with the area, but it will be new to me.

Anyway, lots of details to figure out and work to be done and it will be hard not seeing DH for a few months. But it's a good thing for us overall.

And come next winter, no more snow shoveling!

Thank you DMC and Sour! We had planned on staying in WY longer but the company that owns the golf course (and lots of other things) has been sold to a new company. So the future of this course is up in the air, no one knows what the new company will do with it. We can't have DH retire yet so we felt it best for him to find a new position.

And for me, I love FL because it always felt like home. And who can be unhappy about trading white snow for white sand?

Sour, BIG congrats to your grandson's team on their game. Their season sure got off to a great start!

But I’m little sad at the same time…travel season is coming up but now I won’t be able to just stop in for a visit when we go through Casper. And I was hoping you’d get a chance to come up this way so I could return your warm hospitality. I’m just selfish that way!

But what an opportunity for you and Frankenfoot! Run with it! Soak in all that sunshine!

Thank you Blooie! Don't give up the thought of stopping in Casper sometime in the next several months, I can't go until I get this house ready to sell and they have the modular home ready for me. If you do stop while passing through, I won't even expect you to pack boxes
