That great news DebbyI have some news to share with you all...
DH has accepted a golf course superintendent job in Florida so we're moving. He has to be there in a couple of weeks while I'll be here in Casper getting this house packed up and sold. The owners of the golf course are providing temporary housing for us but it's going to take a few months to build...they're putting up a new modular house for us until we find a new home of our own. So I hope to be packed and moving in the next 3-6 months or whenever they have the mod house ready.
This is super exciting for us, DH gets his dream job and I (we) get to return to Florida! We'll be in the panhandle in an area between Pensacola and Panama City. That's the part of FL called the Emerald Coast (also known as the Redneck Riviera). DH went to flight school in Pensacola so he's familiar with the area, but it will be new to me.
Anyway, lots of details to figure out and work to be done and it will be hard not seeing DH for a few months. But it's a good thing for us overall.
And come next winter, no more snow shoveling!
Yeah, Debby will be happy to take your sister's next snowstorm.I think she's had more than enough!
As long as the whine doesn't come with a picture of her in shorts out in the sun drinking iced tea and looking at greenery!Janie you can whine all you want if it helps you blend in![]()
Yeah, it will be here in only another 6 weeks! Can’t wait for Spring!
So if I post at 12:01 my time I'll be wishing you a happy anniversary on the 1st but you'll read it on the 28th so when we take the average I'll hit your actual anniversary of the 29th!Fifty-four years ago this week
Wow, your BYC name will be accurate again! Given you pretty recently moved into that house I'm sure packing will come naturallySo I hope to be packed and moving in the next 3-6 months or whenever they have the mod house ready.
Yes, but the bloody nose season here is in the winter when the air is dry.It must be almost Spring! I had my first bloody nose on Saturday morning. They are very seasonal LOL!
The last time we had snow like that here was the winter of 96-97. The snow was so deep on the highways out here where they drifted that they had to ram them with big V-Plows to get through.I have a similar picture of me in snow like that in Virginia

Me too Debby! I did not leave the house the month of January and I had a teething child. I thought I’d lose my mind. The flooding was so bad in the spring of 97 that we only had one way to get in and out of here. Many roads were under water. We almost couldn’t have our son’s 1st birthday party in April. All that snow would have been something to see! Glad you don't get that very often.
Congratulations!! How exciting for you guys, I’m so happy for you both DebbyI have some news to share with you all...

Afternoon all. This has been a day. My dad isn’t making any progress in rehab. He’s been in there for three weeks and my mom doesn’t think they’ve done a darn thing but make sure his feeding tube is full.Today was the first time he has smiled in a while and it was when Mom told him he’s going home. I had to work on her to convince her to call a particular hospice care place and get the ball rolling so we can be prepared to get him home, but she finally did. I called my son and told him we might need to have his help with furniture moving. My folks live in a single wide mobile and any bed they bring in will have to go in the living room. The furnishings can’t go down the hall to be stored the spare bedroom so we’re going to have to rent a storage unit for a bit too.
