Had a game yesterday - cold. Grandson played well at shortstop and had a double and single at bat. There's an eight game tournament in Fla. next week and coach was trying out his freshman pitchers. Left first kid in too long in my opinion - ran through the opponents' lineup twice in the first inning. Result was 10 runs scored. Grandson's team fought back and game was called at 7 innings because of impending darkness. Final score was 14/10 with the other team as the winners.

Sounds like they put up a good fight!

Thanks for asking about Opie. He seems to be better most days but his cough hasn't completely gone away. Maybe he needs warmer weather, like I don't know, maybe Florida?

Are you bringing the golf course cats with you when you go? That will be a long trip with cats

I started singing to a very crabby 2nd grader in the lunchline today. He actually smiled. It was the song “Let it Go” from Frozen. The other kids chuckled…I’m sure they were grateful it wasn’t them being sung to.

The cough always takes the longest to get rid of. Opie does sounds like Florida cat, for sure

My husband cringes, but the kids laugh and laugh. My point being, I'm not much of a hummer or singer.

But they are laughing WITH you, not AT you, right?
