My girls are tucked up in straw tonight as it's starting to freeze.

We're doing well, she's freezing as temp outside is dropping like a rock. She started a fire a bit ago so that should fix it.

We're supposed to get rain turning into snow tonight. They're calling for 1" to 5"...that's quite a spread, guess they're trying to cover all possibilities.

A lady is supposed to be picking up my flock in a little while. Sort of a bittersweet thought. I'm glad to get a response to my multiple ads and that they'll get a new home. But I'm going to miss them. This could be the very end of having chickens for me.

Thanks Ron. Who knows what the future will bring. Until I can nail DH's feet to the ground, I don't want to go through raising them just to give them up again (this is the 2nd time).

I understand!

It is hard to give them up. When I was 17 we moved from an orchard where we had chickens to a city that did not allow them. We finally moved to a place where we could have them in 1999.
