The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good morning everyone 😊 I'm still around, just been doing birthdays and greets lately. I also have the chicks to care for , so that's what I've been doing. Chicks are doing well, we only ended up with 4. I'll post a picture when I go check on them.

Wow, DMC I just saw your damage :hugs
Glad you made it over here, Sue. Chick pictures would be great when you have time.

Sorry it's so dark, I'll use Bob's phone later and get a better picture 🤦

I don't know who those people are, but I figure if you're working at something you like (even if it's just a hobby) you'll likely to live longer
I agree. I told my daughter that I want her to come over once a month and sew with me, or build diy cat trees, or anything really. She is bored, and cannot work due to health issues. I am bored and hate having to work around a job schedule. I think a hobby would be great for us both, and we need to spend more time together.

That's a wonderful idea! :love

I want to hatch a few eggs, but I hate having to give my roosters up. 🐓
Lucy is in the old coop, nesting. I keep climbing in there and taking her eggs, so I'll probably give her a few little pullets next week. She is impossible to break. She goes back to broody so fast.
Two more hens are about half broody, (making that noise and spending more time on the nest) so maybe I'll give them some too, eventually.

That sounds like a good plan to keep Lucy busy.
