We may have gotten just a bit too much rain today...between 2.5-4" has fallen in the past hour and there are flash flood warnings now.

How's this for a warning? "Don't drown when encountering flooded roads." Is this really helpful?

We are camping at Craig’s cousins lake place. Their neighbor gave us a ride on his pontoon last night. It was a beautiful ride. This is his barn. He has a beautiful place.

These lily plants were grown from Bulb petals, Took two years to bloom. I plant the cucumbers next to the sun flowers so they can climb up the stems. Late flat Dutch cabbage.

What is manure tea? I hope mine flourishes after some nice rain. My flower pots don’t look great this year either. We’ve had so much wind, which has been tough on all plants.

I think it's comfrey, we used to make a feed from it

Mark, your garden is beautiful! What kind of sunflowers do you have? Do you have to stake the sunflowers?
I bought my husband some skyscraper sunflowers and a couple of other varieties.

I don't know we have been growing the same seeds for years. I have some that got about 14' tall two years ago. this year I had 4 shorty seeds. Let me know how your skyscrapers turn out. I wonder if that is what I have?

I bought one that gets around 10 to 12 ' tall. The other gets about 6 to 8'. One is orange, the others are yellow. I believe the skyscraper is the yellow one.
