Have you ever been up close and personal with a gator?

The closest I ever got to one was at Gatorland where they served fried gator nuggets at their restaurant. They weren't bad!

Have you ever been up close and personal with a gator?

We used to have a bait shop down the road, when I was a teenager. They had an alligator. My little brother and I would walk down there and feed it after school. They had to get rid of him because he wouldn't stay out of the highway.

I don't honestly know. Back then it looked huge, but it probably wasn't.
They kept him for several years, before turning him over to the Gus Engeling Wildlife Management Area, which is coincidentally, just down the road from me now.
