The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Hi Debby, yes ma’am but I took Monday off so only a four day week. How are you settling in?

Four day work weeks were always my favorite (right up there with 3 day weekends) :thumbsup

I don't know if I'm settling in or not. Living in Casper spoiled me, I could get anywhere in about 7-10 minutes. Now it takes forever to get anywhere and it's mostly driving on highways. For example, last night after DH got off work we needed to go to a Home Depot to look for a new fridge. It took an hour to drive there, 2 hours to shop (plus a quick meal) and another hour to drive home...a 4 hour trip to what we could have done in Casper in about 30 minutes.

Some day I'll find the weather I want in the locale I want...some day :gig

Home depot is a couple of miles from my house! It is very nice to have it this close.

Sounds like us here Debby.
Are you happy with your fridge?
We drove 1.5 hours on Tuesday to talk to the lumberyard that’s going to build our new shed. We’ll have to go back again after harvest to sign papers. The owner said to wait a bit to see if prices go down. We can’t wait for the guy who built our last big shed. The earliest the new shed will be built is Spring.

The new fridge won't get here until Aug. 24, but we can limp along with this old one until then.

Hope the prices go down to make that rebuilding a bit easier DMC :fl

It really did fly by. I don’t know if I’m ready to go back to school.
We’re taking siding off today. We’re trying to get things going faster around here. The dumpster goes on Friday.
Well darn, there goes your planter...or hot tub.😪

That's the way I feel. I love this place, but going anywhere takes up half the day.

Thanks Debby, me too! We finally got our insurance payments. It was better then anticipated but still not even close to covering it all. We will be ok though.

I’m ok with that Janie 🤣
