There was a short lived series about androids or robots that became self aware. One was a nanny, and the family helped them escape. It was pretty good. I don't recall the name.

A couple of times I've read the book "Expiration Day" by William Campbell Powell. I don't usually do sci-fi but this one I like.

In the future human children are a rarity so couples raise androids as if they are human kids. On their 18th b-day all the android kids expire and have to be returned to the company that created them. The main character is a young girl that thinks she's a human child but as her 18th birthday gets close, she finds out she's actually one of the androids.

Kind of a weird story, but interesting!

I love it! I usually stick to crime & mystery. But I love all the old science fiction writers like Philip Jose Farmer & Anthony Burgess.

But I sometimes go for something different. Like if time travel is involved in a story, I'm reading it!

I remember a Star Trek episode from the Next Generation series where there only two kids left on a planet and the only way they interacted was virtually, nothing in person. Reminds me a lot of kids today.
