Thought I found a nice side gig outside of work doing contractor jobs with one of my regulars from my work but now I'm starting to feel uncomfortable working along side them. The things they apply make it very awkward and not a settle atmosphere. I want to work it cause I make really good money but also want to account safety with it. He is a lot older than me so it makes it concerning. Curious what you guys think if I should get out of that job or what. I've said before how I was in a relationship and he seems enthused about it but also questions me everytime if it's an open relationship or if it's even serious. Problem is he comes into my regular work to buy supplies there so I see him often even when we aren't working together.

I agree with Sour, follow your instinct on this. You can find similar side gigs with people you’re comfortable with. Who take your safety as well as everyone else’s into consideration. Good luck kiddo.

Hi Janie. Yikes! Do you get scorpions inside a lot? I’m terrible about walking around barefoot and not turning on lights in the bathroom at night, but I have yet to see a scorpion on our property or even in our neighborhood.

It’s not paranoia obviously!

We were told that even if we think we don’t have them, we do. Apparently the big ones only come out if they’re disturbed, like say construction nearby that forces them to move. There are two types of small ones here that live in houses and those are more dangerous. So I do shake my shoes and smack gloves around before I put them on. And I don’t ever put my hands where I can’t see.

Sounds like a sleezebag. He probably doesn't care if you are uncomfortable. Just say something like "I'm flattered, but please stop. My boyfriend and I are serious, and we don't believe in open relationships. "
Alternatively, you could mention that your boyfriend is pursuing a black belt, and that you don't know if it's a good idea, because he is so jealous and you don't want him going back to prison.

Long story short though my liver numbers were pretty high so they retested and still high so then they did an ultrasound and found the liver and kidneys were enlarged and I had some urine backing up into my kidneys so I’ve had all sorts of tests, more ultrasounds, etc. trying to find out why. Today I find out if I need more tests or if we just forget it since I have no symptoms. Also I finally got put on Metformin in June for diabetes since my sugar had been climbing for a while. I’ve also been in and out of hospitals and doctors the last five months for various mental health things too and trying various meds. Just started a new one a couple weeks ago that so far seems to work way better. So yeah.
