I've been thinking of staining or painting my kitchen cabinets. We've been in this house for 5 years now, and I feel like we need an update.

You need a cabinet look change every 5 years??

We put good quality cherry cabinets in the prior house 30 years ago. Bought this house 11 years ago, came with a few cr@p cabinets and we never got around to getting new (DW working 6 days a week doesn't help). Rented out the prior house then sold it 2 years ago. Buyers really liked the cabinets and door and window trim I made from rough lumber (expect apparently the kitchen cabinets and the trim ). Full on remodel last year into this year (supply chain and lack of workers made BIG delays). The cabinets are now in this house and I'm putting up the door trim. Both still look good to us! We do need to find time to get new countertops, I modified the originals best I could and while they are better than what we had, it is piecemeal.

I have some organizing and such to do in the kitchen today. Really need to wipe down the fridge and go through my freezers. It’s supposed to rain so I might as well. The dogs have been to the park already, it’s perfect weather

I don't need it necessarily, but I'd like it. Too much work though, I'll just hatch some chicks to relieve my retirement boredom

Janie, beware of updating cabinets. That can be a gateway to new kitchen curtains, changing the back splash and possibly new flooring.

Good morning all. I’m off to a bridal shower. I am not staying long, but I made the cupcakes so I have to at least drop them offVanilla, pumpkin, and Chocolate.

My house is a disaster and I need to get things back in place. The flooring is done except a couple transition pieces. The trim boards will have to wait until after harvest.
