That cleaning part is why I’m limiting the festivities this year. I’m getting a four day weekend this year and I’m not starting it off by working hard :lol:

Good for you IM! One of my aunts had a tradition that when her family wasn't going to a big Thanksgiving get-together and they were just staying home they made tacos for their dinner...her kids really enjoyed that one. Made things easy for everyone. :)

I’d be disowned if we had tacos, but I know that would make the little dude happy lol.

I’m limiting the meal to far fewer sides than usual is all, and just a turkey breast instead of the whole turkey. I’m trying to get out of dessert but have met considerable resistance.

Resistance if futile, give them dessert :lol:

We always fix a turkey breast, that's plenty for the 2 of us. And sweet potato pie is a must for dessert!

I won’t get out of it I assure you! I was thinking about sweet potato pie instead of pumpkin, I’m kinda tired of the same ol thing.

We think the sweet potato has more flavor than pumpkin. If you try it, let me know what you think.

I use the same recipe that I used for pumpkin pies. I just bake the sw. potatoes, peel them and mash them up (baby food consistency :lol: ) and then substitute that for the pumpkin.
