Good morning, Debby 🐻

Hey Janie!

Thinking about that embezzling article reminded me of something that happened when I worked for the health insurance company. One of the claims processors was submitting fraudulent claims with herself as the beneficiary and raked in thousands of dollars. She bought all sorts of jewelry, a couple of cars, a ski boat, etc. When things caught up to her, it was a shock to her husband. He had no idea what she was doing...she just told him she was getting bonuses at work.

Wow. What are people thinking? Even if you don't have moral standards to tell you it is wrong, should you at least have brains enough to know you're going to be caught?
I knew a lady who worked billing in the city water company. She was making duplicate bills and adding a dollar to every bill, which she pocketed. I don't even know how that's possible. She got caught fairly early. She said she was "only taking a dollar from each bill, so it wasn't like stealing " 🤔🤥 I guess the judge disagreed.
She got a hefty fine and probation
(& unemployed)

That's crazy, I don't know why people are surprised when they get caught. Guess they have brains enough to figure out a way to game the system but not brains enough to know they'll get caught.

I'd make a terrible crook. I look guilty even when I haven't done anything wrong. :gig

Thanks!! I’m into Day 2 of being 72. I don’t feel any different, but then I’m just practicing. I’ve never been this age before so in still kinda new at it.

Good morning!! You too!
Practice makes perfect :highfive: I too was sorry to read about macular degeneration. I’ve been blind from cataracts and unable to drive or use a computer, it sucked:hugs
Good morning, IM 🐻

Good morning, Blooie 🐻 it's nice to have you drop in. Best wishes for Kendra.
I was sorry to read that you are having problems with macular degeneration. I hope you'll drop in from time to time.
