It has gone up about 25% since last year. Pine shavings haven't changed.


Are you buying organic (I sure hope so for that price)?
50# of Poulin Grain non organic layer pellets is now $15.50. Scratch is $16 but that lasts 6 months since they only get a 5.5 oz cat food can amount each afternoon. $28 (taxable even though *I* only feed it to my chickens) for #40 of BOSS. They get that same 5.5 oz can in the morning and the bag lasts about 6 months.


@ronott1 hatched some store bought eggs a year (or 3 or 4?) ago.

I have hatched Trader Joes fertile eggs three times and Whole Foods fertile eggs once.

The last batch was 5 years ago-- I still have one of the hens from that one.
