The drake duckie likes to get going fast and slide on his belly when he hits the ice. I think he does it because he likes it.

Very possible that he does. I once saw a video of a crow repeatedly sliding down a metal roof on a piece of tin - he was very evidently playing.

I drove to town on icy roads as it rained in the night. It is still a winter wonderland. We have had fog and frosty trees for days. We were supposed to get several inches of snow but it missed us.
