I didn't want to mention it yesterday seeing how everyone else is snowed in, but our central a/c went out in the house and it's a sweaty 80+ degrees in here. 99.9% of the windows don't have screens so can't open them to get any relief. The repair company has a part on order to fix the central air. Makes it hard to sleep when it's so hot.

Yuk. Ours went out last year and had to be repaired. Fortunately it wasn't too hot at the time, but the humidity was awful. My husband wasn't too happy, as it was only 5 years old. But it's working fine now. I hope they can repair yours quickly.

I just watched a PBS film about the worst WY winter storm of 1949. Storms kept rolling in for about 45 days and entire towns were almost buried. People were trapped in their homes or cars on the road, livestock froze solid standing up. It wasn't until July before the worst of the snow banks melted. Incredible!

Good morning. Grandson's baseball season starts today with a doubleheader. Was supposed to start tomorrow, but was rescheduled because of a predicted snowstorm. We planned on going (a 2 hour drive each way) but temps are in the mid 40's and dropping during the day with winds gusting to 35MPH. It's flat and open by the ball field, and wind just whips through there. The Princess opted to watch the game online, and I am fine with that.

Wow! We had something similar in 1997. It was horrible. Major flooding in the Spring.
