The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Things are grand! I broke my no hatch rule and let my little hen hatch for the easter hatch along. She has 6 tiny babies (probably 4 will be roosters) then, a couple of days ago, I decided to pull out my little incubator.
Fortunately it only holds 7, so I put in 9. Hand turning until I eliminate some at day 7. Four of them are showing veins already.
What are you doing today? Besides taking the dogs to the park?

Well, rules are made to be broken!

No park today, Abby cracked a nail, it bled pretty good, and it hasn’t grown out yet. Maybe a short trip tomorrow though. I did yard work early before it gets hot out there! Next is getting my strawberries set up and switching out a light from fluorescent to LED. I’m trying the Seascape variety with hydroponics.

Love the picture! Our Blue jays are an aggressive bird no matter their size.

We are going shopping. Hubby needs new blue jeans. I should have stayed home. My house is a disaster and I have about 6 loads of laundry to do. I didn’t make my bed either.

Ugh, I know the feeling! There is much to do and I’m short on time lol. Yard work and hydroponics today. Shopping will be tomorrow.

I'll bet that your house is never dirty by average standards.
My own "disaster" standards have relaxed a lot in the last few years- I can't see the dirt and cobwebs as well!

I know they can be a pain, but I love Blue Jays! They're gorgeous and feisty.

They are pretty this year. So are the cardinals. Even the chickadees seem brighter. I read that the reason they look brighter some years is because of their diets.

Have you grown strawberries before? We grew them a couple of years when we had our little farm. They never got very big, but they were probably the tastiest berries ever.
