Enjoy your time with your son. I think it would be fun to shop for a house. I’ve never gotten to do it. We bought this place for the land. I would never have chosen a Ranch style house. I hope you find something you like and quickly.

Good morning, DMC. I like the ranch style.
I used to think it was boring, but having lived in other types, I've learned to appreciate this style. It's streamlined, so cheaper to build, and easier to navigate (especially for an older or handicapped person) and much easier to keep clean.

No, there is no charm in them.
This is my home growing up. I hadn’t seen it in 30 years. The person that bought it let my sisters and I go in and look at it. What a disaster. The basement was solid mold. This is the style that I would choose or a Victorian…big and drafty. I love the woodwork. There used to be a balcony above the the entryway with the cement steps. The yellow bedroom was mine before we moved to Appleton.
