I really hope you find a way to make it stick kiddo. You eat healthy, I know because I’ve seen your meals. Just cut out the pancakes with syrup and such. I know it’s easier said than done, we all struggle with it. My neighbor is diabetic, has been for a long time, and he wants ice cream from Dairy Queen a lot. That’s his weakness. He allows himself to have it once in a while, just not all the time. He told me the easiest way is to just not buy what’s bad so it’s not in the house, and use a list when you go grocery shopping. Plan your meals, and then test one and two hours after meals to see how those particular foods impact your BG levels. You may be able to still have pasta, rice, syrup, etc just in smaller amounts. You won’t ever know what makes your sugar spike unless you test, test, test.

Thanks, this is really good info! I do need to start testing too. I don’t currently but yeah, I’ve definitely been better about eating healthy but still not perfect. I still want sodas or candy or cookies or whatever. I don’t allow myself to eat it all the time though. Usually I get the zero sugar or diet sodas but sometimes I get a real one
