The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

For the first time in ten years, grandson's team has won 20 or more games in a season - 22 to be exact. The team is comprised of primarily freshmen and sophomores and has been built by a 2 year coach. They have qualified for the NJAC finals. Tomorrow they play the #1 team. They've lost to them twice this season, but both games were competitive and quite close - perhaps a miracle ? We'll be going.

That's amazing Sour! Yay for the boys!

Good luck to him, and his team, Sour!

We have a hard enough time keeping their attention when it’s not nice. The worst class is 3rd grade. They are mouthy and disrespectful.

We had a meeting this morning. It was ourp once a month Union meeting. There is a lot of abuse of cell phones throughout the day so that was addressed. I was wondering when something would change. We had one Para that was reading his library book in classrooms. The principal caught him and it looks like it stopped. How do we get kids to focus when adults aren’t following the rules? :hmm
People are addicted to their phones to the point of no return.
My daughter had a therapist a few years ago that would text on her phone the entire time she was there. She was pretty stressed but didn't want to say anything, because she had, had a hard time finding a new therapist, when her old one moved away. She finally got so aggravated that she walked out in the middle of a session. She told the receptionist why she wasn't paying. She got a call and an apology, but she decided to go elsewhere.
