Good morning DMC! if you want to keep blossom end rot off your tomatoes, here is a proven method. Last year I had it, and just tried my own cure. I took a bag of oyster shell, that I bought for the chickens and placed them in a bucket of water then I swooshed them around until the water turned white. The white water is soluble calcium that is fine enough for the plants to take in. Water the infected plants with that when you water. You will be astonished that the end rot will disappear after you pull of the tomatoes that are infected. Eggshells will not degrade fast enough, they need immediate, available, calcium. I used this method last year and was stunned that it worked.

It did say to crush it into powder. I did not do that. We’ll see what happens.

Didn’t eat with my meds this morning and I am definitely feeling the burning the nurse was talking about with the doxycycline said I MUST eat with it and MUST stay upright for 30 minutes or I will get BAD burning. Well…. It’s TRUE. I didn’t want eggs again so I ordered something but it hasn’t gotten here yet. I think it’s too late anyway. Next time I will just eat the dang eggs lol

Did they also warn you that Doxycycline will also increase your chances of sunburn? Use sunscreen if you go outside.
