The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good morning

I hope you aren't ordering all that!

Me either. Our next week doesn't show any days under 100, and with this humidity, I'm not sure I'll last through the summer.
We are keeping the dogs in after lunch every day. These boxers get over heated quickly.
And yet, my black cats will lay out in the direct sun.
No of course not! LOL I don’t have chickens anymore anyway :lau but even if I did, I wouldn’t cause that’s just mean LOL I just thought it was funny and dumb 🤣

Good morning, Everyone.
G’morning Sour

Our dogs are primarily indoor. We have a dog door so they come and go as they please. The heat makes me feel really bad for the chickens though.

We closed the dog door so they have to stay in. Ruby is fairly responsible, but Brewster is not the smartest (he's the sweetest- but he's no rocket scientist)
He goes out, runs full speed for a short time, and pretty much collapses in a puddle of drool. It takes him so long to cool off.
Dexter, our boy that died a couple of years ago, had a stroke due to this samw behavior. He lived for almost two years afterwards, but had to be hand watered and fed. It was a rough two years. I don't want to go through that with another dog.

Awe, that’s terrible. I’m sorry :hugs I wouldn’t let our dogs free range in that case either. It’s hard when they’re just giant puppies that want to run and play.

We have a big area and they take advantage of it. It's great in cool weather. Boxers are always big puppies, no matter how old they are.

My son put an offer in on that house. They were asking $299,000. He offered $235,000 and my other son would take care of the sewer as it has to be redone. I doubt he will get it for that offer. The biggest issue found with the house was that all water runs towards it, so work has to be done to slope it away from the house. We have equipment to do it.

Good luck to your son on getting the house DMC :fl He could get it, I wouldn't think a lot of people would be willing or able to tackle some of those issues with it.
