I think they should not go back until late September when it is cooler. I don't know if busses are air conditioned now, but I imagine a lot of money is spent, and energy is expended, air conditioning the classrooms.
Of course, I'm saying this as a grandmother who doesn't have my grandchildren I'm my home. 😁

It really is an exchange. It doesn’t matter if
they go back now or September, the a/c is going to run at least into October lol. The kids are all locked in their classrooms, teachers can’t leave their doors open on nice days because of these school shootings.

OAN the news is saying the price of gas is going up again because of the heat. What a load of BS. TPTB will blame it on anything but themselves.

Gas and diesel prices jumped here the other day. Diesel went up 50 cents. Gas went up 30 I think.
