Good morning. Yesterday we went to the Sussex Co. agricultural fair. 3 barns of dairy cattle, a barn of goats, half a barn of pigs, and the same of sheep plus a poultry barn. We watched part of an equestrian event and ate lots of junk food - great day.

The same old things here. We woke up to 90% humidity. It was only 82° but a walk to the trash can had my poor squished nose dog panting.
I've got all my waterers and feeders filled so now it's just a matter of keeping everyone alive. Our high today will be 107, the heat index will be around 111 to 122. 5pm is our hottest time of day, so 2 to 6 is when I have to keep a close eye on the birds.

I hope a break heads your way soon. I would not be able to function with heat like that.

I’m glad he’s doing better Mad, it’s tough and kids are horrible to each other! The little dude here is special needs and he has struggled already in elementary school with his classmates.

Seriously! Awe, I really hope he has a good start without any issues from the other kids. Some kids just need to give each other a chance.
have you ever heard the book "Wonder" about a boy' with a facial deformity, who is going to public school the first time. There's also a movie with Jennifer Aniston (sp?).

Ugh, stay cool! Our hottest part of the day is around 1600, but I’m out there with ice and water before. I check on them every hour between 1400 and 1800.
