It can be done but it ain't easy. I have slow, very slow, internet. It's almost like dial up. Very frustrating. Especially since we pay for high speed.

I think our service is worse here in the middle of town than it was in the piney woods of Florida. Makes no sense to me.

Good morning everyone! I don't know what happened during the night, but I just now have internet. Better late than never, I guess.

Here, The Cities make a contract with a carrier. Woodland is using astound broadband and At&T. Davis uses xfinity.

At&t is working on upgrading to fiber which will make us faster. Currently we can get fast ethernet from Astound but not at&t.

It is odd though since they both use the same infrastructure

Hopefully new options will open up. We had DSL, 15 down, 1 up for quite a while. And that was "max", usually tested only half the download. Then a small fiber optic company started up. We pay for the cheapest option and get nearly 100 both up and down pretty reliably, well more than the minimum we are paying for.
