Here too. We have killed so many. They are here all year but are much worse in the summer. I hang those fly papers up high, on the support posts, in the chicken runs and it's unbelievable how many scorpions they catch.

My chickens eat them. That is, when they can catch them. These little buggars are quick.

My cats have killed a few. I've not seen my chickens kill any but I wouldn't be shocked. They found a nest of baby snakes the other day. It was hilarious watching them chasing each other.

I always shake mine out too. I also check under the toilet lid before sitting, check the shower curtains, and use a blacklight a few times a month to check under furniture.

My oldest (14) & youngest (8) got costumes but might just pass out candy. My bonus son (10) will be with his mom this year. The oldest hasn't wanted to trick-or-treat in a few years but always wants a costume. My bonus son says he's getting over it this year. They're growing up.
I don't think I'm decorating this year. Hopefully they don't mind

DH and I are actually in the discussion phase for a possible few birds next year. So maybe? Possibly?

I’m not quite that diligent, just check shoes and gloves before putting them on and the toilet seat. Clothes that have hung up for a while get a good shaking out and I check all the sleeves and pockets though. My friend found a scorpion in her sweatshirt pocket.
