I was wondering that too. Hubby goes to the reduced-price day-old stuff every time he's in the grocery store so a pan of 4 big cinnamon rolls (I just ate one) was $2.79 instead of $3.99. A loaf like that would be at half. We toast or nuke most everything so it's all good!
That's just a little more than what the "good" bread costs here. Of course you can get a loaf of cheap stuff for $2, but it's so stale and dry it's inedible.![]()
I guess it's been a long time since I bought bread. I just make it and it's super cheap because I work for free
