The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

OK, that is an acceptable excuse ;) Years ago I got called off a trip to my optometrist in Northampton, MA for the same reason. Sadly, I was 2 hours into a 3.5 hour trip at the time.

At 5:30 AM? Do you work a night shift?

Talking to us is good, but talking to real live people is harder. You ARE doing well!
:hugs
Thank you Bruce!! I appreciate that. :hugs

I saw a car hit one once, it was a small economy car, and it flipped completely over. No one in the car was injured. And the pig got up and ran away!
I believe it!

I also saw an accident scene after a lady hit a moose. It went through her windshield and partially through the back window so it was in her car. She only had a broken wrist, lucky lady!

Idk if I said but I already have told my dad everything. He knows. That’s why he was so sweet. He said there's nothing to be nervous about lol and he said he was proud and that I've come a long way the last year and have been doing really well with keeping my room up and everything and in general 😭 And he thought it was good I was talking to people other than my online friends like telling staff and stuff. Not that talking to y’all is bad at all. But I’m actually telling staff and my therapist and the people that can really help me now instead of lying to everyone like usual. So he thought that was really good.
:hugsSuper happy that you’re taking advantage of those that are there in real life to help you! I know having your dad for support is important and believe it or not, he probably needs you a little too. You’ve both been through a lot.

For some reason that reminds me of a woman that used to work for me. She was late to work 3-4 times a month and always used the excuse that a deer ran into her car. If that had really been true, there wouldn't have been any deer left in NE KS. 🦌

My oldest boy hit a deer in his new truck a few years back. (He was most likely speeding) The deer ended up in the cab with him. It gored him in the thigh bad enough to need more than twenty sutures. He had to shoot it inside his cab. It was a real mess. The insurance just went ahead and totaled the truck.
I've had a couple of near misses. I nearly hit a herd in the rain, but ended up on the wrong side of the highway in a ditch. New tires all around. Another time I just barely clipped one and needed a new bumper.
I've hit a very small piglet that was hit by a car in front of me. It tore up the protective apron or whatever that thing is called under a car.
I do not drive from dusk to dawn anymore unless it's a dire emergency.

Wow, glad your oldest son was ok after that encounter!
