The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good morning everyone or should I say all y'all early birds. I've been up for a bit getting my head screwed on straight. When I put it cross threaded I don't get much done. On another topic of rain those that have more than enough you could send a little down my way. We are in a really bad drought. Parts of this property have not been mowed the entire summer. I'm not going to complain about the drought because I don't need a flood either.
Good morning, LT. I hope you got enough sleep.
Good morning. Rain has stopped and temperatures have dropped. 80's last week and 40's this week.
Good morning Sour. It's the same here, 80s last week and now 30s.

Good morning everyone :frow
Good morning back and good morning to everyone.

Waters were frozen for all my critters this morning. A good poke with a stick broke the ice. Plugged the heater in for the stock tank. Sun is shining with a bit of a breeze. Outside kitties are appreciating me heating up their canned food, and they also like that I started filling the bird feeders for them. Birds are already wise to their shenanigans.

I got my sleep in fragments but at least I slept. My CPAP reported 8.1 apnea events per hour last night. That is better than during one sleep study I had 1 a minute. I'd like to get it down below 5 per hour if I can. I've had a good day out doing chores and jobs this morning and am getting ready to deliver eggs to some charities in town and get my girls a pumpkin to carve. Wishing all a sunny and blessed day if you need sunshine and a rainy day if you need that.

Good morning.
All of my kitties came indoors to stay out of the rain.

I had never thought about the twin factor and funerals. I grew up with a girl that had a set of younger triplet sisters. They were the talk of the town when they were young. In our small town I only remember one set of twin boys.
My GrandPa was an identical twin. He died five or six years before his Twin. It was very weird seeing my great Uncle that looked exactly like GrandPa during that time and going to His Funeral was very odd for sure.

It was 39F here this morning which is cold for us! I have never seen the water frozen for the Hens here yet.

We may get some rain next weekend which is good! We had a red flag fire alert this weekend but luckily we avoided any major fires.

Good morning, IM. I hope you have a great day.
We have 3 nights of freezes in our forecast now, starting tonight. It's strange to have freezing weather this early.
You too, thanks! Wow, that’s crazy Janie. It has been pretty chilly in the mornings here, but not like that.

Speaking of roosters ladies, how about these legs? He's half Indio Gigante and half Aseel and all a perfect gentleman. Eats from my hand and has an eye for the ladies already.

I think I can see the link to dinosaurs there!!

Here's my little sweetheart. She's half Cubalaya and half American Game Fowl and all lover girl. She comes when called and flies to a shoulder or the top of my head.

Those are some ugly cuts on your arm!

I think my easter eggers have been the worst.
Oh no. I hope Zeus doesn't turn mean. He is just about 6 months old.

My arms stay scratched up. With the cooler weather and long sleeves they will get better. I handle a lot of birds through out the day and some resist being held. Some tolerate me without the "He's killing me" screaming and clawing my arms.
