Is it too early to talk about Thanksgiving? I usually make sweet potato pie for dessert. It's just going to be the 2 of us here so we don't really need 2 pies, but look at this: mocha-chocolate-pudding-pie Be still my heart.

I looked at that recipe and will make sure the boss sees it. I keep trying to get my coffee to taste like that pies does.

I don't think so. Daughter/SIL/grandsons are going to Vermont. Married grand daughter is going to Nevada. Son/DIL are going to Ca. taking last of their daughter's stuff - their other daughter? The Princess and I have 2 PM reservations at the Pineville tavern. There will be peace and quiet at Sour's house.

Christmas looks like another story.

I walked out to the coops with my wife and helped a little. I have to look at the ground every step of the way. I did get to set on the porch and hold one of my precious pet RIR hens today. She lays for us in a container right next to the front door and then returns to her handsome guy and they go around minding their on business. I'm staying well medicated and don't like the way they make me feel but the pain level makes it necessary.

We have a granddaughter not to far away and is well educated in the world of baking. I'll buy all then ingredients of any kind of pie she wants and for a chocolate pecan for me. I will make that double. I want two chocolate pecan pies and one chocolate peanut butter pie. They all don't have to be eaten on Thanksgiving. I can graze them along until New Years.

It sounds like you are moving some! Do be careful though.
